oseph’s story has it all—extraordinary dreams, family betrayal, suffering, unexpected twists, and ultimately, redemption. His journey takes him from the pit to the palace, through circumstances he could never have anticipated or understood.

But behind it all, God was at work.

This week, as we continue our series “The Old Testament Speaks of Jesus,” we’ll explore how God faithfully worked out his purposes through Joseph’s life, even in the midst of suffering and uncertainty. And as we look more closely at Joseph’s story, we’ll see how his journey points beyond himself to Jesus and to God’s greater plan to bring redemption and salvation to the world.

Caregiving isn’t just helping people — it’s worship. 

This week we looked at the Caregiver Sacred Pathway and how practical love reveals God’s heart. From Mordecai’s courage to Jesus caring for the least, last, and lost, we explored why caregiving is prophetic, powerful, and deeply spiritual, and why even caregivers need rest and renewal.

Most ancient cultures told stories of catastrophic floods, where fickle gods wiped out humanity on a whim. But the Genesis story of Noah is radically different.

We continue our series on how the Old Testament points to Jesus.

We will take a look at Gideon. His story is found in Judges ch 6 - 8.

The book of Judges (the word means saviour) is full of stories of Israel disobeying God, falling deeper and deeper into sin, then comes God's judgement and His rescue through a flawed leader (judge). Over and over lessons are not learned and consequentially judgement gets more severe until we read about some really horrible things at the end of the book.
Depressed? Sorry.

Actually Judges isn't about sinful people and their flawed leaders. It's about our God who is infinitely patient and merciful. 70x7.
Gideon's story has a lot of encouragement for us as we face uncertain times at Agora. Join us on Sunday and let's see how God, through His guaranteed presence with His people, can turn evil and discouraging events into assurances of hope and ultimate victory.

This Sunday we continued our series, The Old Testament Speaks of Jesus, by exploring the story of Cain and Abel, an account of worship, jealousy, and the destructive downward spiral of sin. Why did God accept one brother’s offering but reject the other’s? What does this story from the opening pages of the Bible reveal about the kind of heart God desires from us today? As we unpacked Genesis 4, we discovered not only its lessons for our lives, but also how it ultimately points us to Jesus.
